RMC’s 2 day POD familiarization course will provide Team Commanders, Team Leaders, and Operators with first-hand experience conducting a technique based directly on Army Special Operations Tier One Unit standard movement techniques that directly apply in a law enforcement environment. The tactics are aimed at increasing officer survival while seamlessly blending critical law enforcement elements including limited use of force considerations, legal requirements & constraints, along with applicable case law requirements. You will leave this 2 day POD familiarization course with a firm understanding of the tactic from theory to threshold.
Day1
We start with a deep dive into the theory behind POD, and why it works. The late morning and afternoon will be spent in the sims house, establishing the foundation of POD movement.
Day 2
Starts in the sims house refining the tactics from day one and building onto more complex applications. The afternoon will be comprised of simple lanes to vet the tactics we have learned in sims force on force, implementing the tactic into Hostage Rescue, and conducting scenarios to demonstrate the tactic in its complete forum.
