DFPC/Colorado Team Awareness Kit (COTAK)

Rifle, CO 81650

The Colorado Team Awareness Kit, commonly known as COTAK™, is a free iOS, Android, Windows, and web-based service for all Colorado public safety agencies, providing real-time location information to emergency responders. Displaying users as a dot on a map, COTAK uses the GPS available in smartphones and tablets to assist emergency responders in locating themselves, their team members, and other enrolled agency personnel.

Colorado is one of the first states in the nation to offer this technology to public safety agencies. Currently, there are more than 2,700 users, and the technology is available at no cost to all Colorado public safety agencies. To learn more, visit cotak.gov.

COTAK is brought to you by the Center of Excellence for Advanced Technology Aerial Firefighting (CoE), a section of Colorado's Division of Fire Prevention and Control (DFPC) within the Colorado Department of Public Safety (CDPS). The CoE runs the COTAK program.
