Mark served in the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne Division, and recently retired from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) after 20 years of service.  During that tenure, he has been a member of the EPSO Special Response Team (SRT) as well as the EPSO SWAT Team, coordinating firearms training for both units.  Mark has been a Colorado POST Full Skills Firearms Instructor for 19 years, teaching basic and advanced handgun, shotgun, carbine / rifle, Designated Marksman and Red Dot User and Instructor level courses.  During that time, Mark has held the position of Range Master for the EPSO and is currently the Range Master for the Pikes Peak State College Regional Law Enforcement Academy.  Mark successfully implemented the MRDS system in the EPSO, making it the first large agency in Colorado to issue MRDS equipped handguns to all employees.  Mark is a current member of the Colorado POST Firearms SME Committee.  Mark established Rocky Mountain Gun Works, LLC in 2023 to continue providing quality firearms training to law enforcement officers.
